The 33rd Qinhuai Lantern Festival’s main venue is located at Nanjing’s Bai Luzhou Park. After over four months of renovation, the park’s scenery has become more charming and unique.
The lantern exhibition at Bai Luzhou Park this year is themed ‘Literature’s Capital, Elegant Gathering of Egrets’, with all lantern groups designed around poetry and literature. Visitors can not only admire the beautiful lantern displays but also dress up in traditional costumes and recite poetry like ancient scholars.
The Qinhuai painted barge has always been a calling card for tourists visiting Nanjing’s Confucius Temple. At night when the lanterns are lit, sitting on a Qinhuai painted barge and watching the vibrant lights along the banks feels like traveling back in time to the ancient Qinhuai River. This festival has specially set up a dock at Bai Luzhou Park, allowing visitors to take a barge tour from Confucius Temple to Bai Luzhou Park’s lantern exhibition, shuttling between the core scenic areas of Bai Luzhou Park and Confucius Temple.
