Qinhuai River Boat Ride

Embark on a Qinhuai River boat tour, and you’ll be greeted by the sight of ancient buildings with white walls and black tiles lining both banks. The architecture’s lights and strings of red lanterns hanging under the eaves are reflected in the waters of the Qinhuai River, as if the boat is transporting you into the scene of Zhu Ziqing’s prose, ‘The Qinhuai River in Paddle Sounds and Lantern Light’.
Gliding along the Qinhuai River, you can enjoy a guided tour, taking in over forty scenic spots and landscapes, including the former residences of celebrities, historical sites, bridges, famous gardens of Jiangnan, and the Qinhuai lantern display. Listen to the guide share historical anecdotes and interesting stories. Nowadays, ‘boarding a painted boat and touring the Qinhuai River’ has become a must-do activity for visitors to Nanjing.
