The Qinhuai River Water Conservancy Scenic Area is located to the west and south of the old city of Nanjing, spanning across six administrative districts including Yuhua Tai, Qinhuai, Baixia, Jianye, Gulou, and Xiaguan.
The main body of the scenic area extends from 500 meters downstream of the Wudingmen sluice on the east side to the confluence of the Sancha River where it enters the Yangtze River on the northwest side, with a total length of approximately 12.2 kilometers. It covers the waters of the Qinhuai River and a 50-100 meter space on both banks, with an area of about 3 square kilometers.
The Qinhuai River Water Conservancy Scenic Area is situated in a mid-latitude region, belonging to the subtropical humid and semi-humid monsoon climate zone, characterized by distinct seasons, abundant rainfall, ample sunlight, and rich heat.
