The Qu Qiubai Memorial Hall is divided into two parts: the memorial hall and the former residence. In the memorial hall, one can learn about the life story of Qu Qiubai, one of the early leaders of the Communist Party of China. The former residence was originally the Qu family ancestral hall built during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty. Due to poverty, Qu Qiubai’s family once lived here. The interior is arranged according to Qu Qiubai’s indoor home furnishings during his lifetime. Qu Qiubai Memorial Hall: It is a two-story courtyard-style antique building. On the walls on both sides of the hall door, a copper sculpture is symmetrically inlaid on each side. The main picture of the copper sculpture on the right is Qu Qiubai and Lenin, which focuses on presenting Qu Qiubai as a revolutionary, theorist and propagandist. The main picture of the copper sculpture on the left is Qu Qiubai and Lu Xun, which focuses on presenting Qu Qiubai as a writer, translator and cultural standard-bearer. The exhibition hall has photos, texts, physical objects and statues of Qu Qiubai’s life story. The ‘Exhibition of Qu Qiubai’s Life Story’ is displayed, and special exhibitions such as the ‘Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition in Memory of Qu Qiubai’ are also launched. Qu Qiubai’s former residence was originally the private ancestral hall of the Qu family. It is the courtyard where the Qu family worships and offers sacrifices to their ancestors. The former residence is divided into east and west courtyards. The terrain gradually rises, implying the meaning of rising step by step. In the second entrance of the ancestral hall, in front of the screen stands a bronze-colored plaster statue of Qu Qiubai. He is vigorous and has an elegant demeanor, presenting the image of a revolutionary who is young, refined and full of scholarly flavor. The east courtyard is the wing room.
