Shenyang is an ancient capital in Northeast China and also the birthplace of Manchuria. Here, there are not only historical sites but also modern attractions, suitable for a wide range of tourists to visit. The following are my impressions and must-visit attractions during my tour in Shenyang. Come and take a look!

Shengjing Park: A Magnificent Royal Garden
Shengjing Park was built by Emperor Kangxi to commemorate the complete recovery of Liaodong and enjoy the Liaodong landscape. In the park, there are attractions such as Tashan Mountain, mountain lake winding paths, specially built stone carvings, spring waterfalls, and more. Many tourists cover their noses and let out long whistles here, reluctant to leave. It is worth mentioning that the four landscapes of flower sea, leaf sea, green sea, and snow sea have diverse colors throughout the four seasons, which will make everyone linger and forget to return.

Shenyang Imperial Palace: A Place of Blending Manchu and Han Cultures with Exquisite Carvings
The Shenyang Imperial Palace was built in the early Qing Dynasty and is one of the three major palaces in the world. The architectural style of the Shenyang Imperial Palace is unique, with a strong Manchu and Han cultural atmosphere. It is also the shooting location of the Tianjin films “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” and “Farewell My Concubine”.

In addition to viewing the palaces and exhibits, there is one thing that tourists must not miss: iron forging in front of the Taihe Palace. Hearing the melodious sound of hammers and cheerful laughter, one can feel the joy and laughter in the park.

**Qipanshan Scenic Area: The Inspiration Place of a Generation of Cultural Figure Li Shizhong**

Qipanshan is the highest point in Nanguang District and is known as the number one mountain for sightseeing in Northeast China. It is also the origin of the allusion written by a cultural figure, Li Shizhong.

—In summer, the two mountains stretching in a north-south direction here resemble a vast chessboard. The scenery is fresh and pastoral, with elegant undulations that truly make it a beautiful sight. Whether you’re in the mood for climbing mountains or chasing the wind, this is definitely a great place to be.

Chinese Culture Park: A Personal Experience of Chinese Civilization

The Chinese Culture Park is a vast garden that encapsulates ancient Chinese cultural elements. Within the park, you’ll find numerous cultural landscapes, including ancient Chinese dragon-head architecture halls, exquisite octagonal towers, and historical landscapes spanning thousands of years from the Qin and Han dynasties to the Han and Tang dynasties. Additionally, the park houses the world’s largest deep well lacquerware kiln. Here, you can witness the ancient glory of China and immerse yourself in the profoundness of Chinese civilization.
