The Red Chamber Art and Literature Garden selects the more exciting chapters and sections from the first eighty chapters of “A Dream of Red Mansions” as the artistic conception units in the garden. With natural landscapes as the framework, it uses Taihu stones, yellow stones, zonal vegetation in Nanjing area and some antique-style buildings and sculptures as landscaping materials. It is a simple and natural garden landscape that reflects Red Chamber culture and a strong Jiangnan style.
The whole garden is divided into twelve artistic conception units: Illusory Realm of Great Void, Hibiscus Fairyland, Chanting in Snow by Reeds, Begonia Chanting Club, Drunken in Medicinal Garden, Qinfang Fishing Platform, Longcui Separating Flowers, Bamboo Rhythm of Xiaoxiang, Fragrant Mound, Young Orioles in Pear Garden, Red Chamber Art and Literature Museum and Vanilla Garden.
