Red Stone Folk Culture Village and Aquatic Plant Viewing Area are located at the core of the resort. The inscription ‘Heaven Opens the Wave Mirror’ on the archway vividly captures the water-centric characteristics of these two functional areas.
Red Stone Village epitomizes the distinctive architecture of the Jiangnan water towns, recreating the appearance of a small village in the Jiangnan area during the Anti-Japanese War period. Buildings are constructed along the water, with a vast expanse of water in front, where fishermen fish and the sound of oars creaks, reeds are lush green, and the tranquility of the water town is evident; behind are new bamboo, lotus ponds, and small streams, presenting a rural scene.
The village features a root carving museum, a marriage customs museum, and more, vividly portraying the folk customs of Sha Jia Bang. ‘Spring Teahouse’ is also situated here, with the saying ‘Build seven-star stoves, copper pots boil three rivers; lay out eight immortals tables, entertain sixteen directions’. Sitting by the window, one can enjoy tea while watching performances of Peking Opera excerpts from ‘Sha Jia Bang’ and folk performances such as dragon and lion dances on the stage, offering a unique experience.
Adjacent to it is the Aquatic Plant Viewing Area, where waterside pavilions and boardwalks lead visitors into the midst of aquatic plants, making them linger. Amidst the clear waves and the greenery, the fishing club ‘Double Lotus Pavilion’ and a 300-meter fishing shore lie quietly, with reeds in the distance and pink lotuses nearby, offering a pleasant environment for tea tasting and leisurely fishing, pleasing to the eye and soothing to the spirit.
