The ‘Revival of Dead Wood’ was originally a ginkgo tree from the Tang Dynasty. It was split by lightning and later wisteria was planted. The wisteria climbs up. In late spring and early summer, the flowers are red and the leaves are lush, just like a dead tree coming back to life. After being struck by lightning, this Tang Dynasty ginkgo tree is left with only a withered and broken trunk, but the split pattern is smooth and has ornamental value. Later, gardeners planted the North American vine plant wisteria, which climbs up. By late spring and early summer, the flowers are red and the leaves are lush, becoming a scene in the garden.
