The Sperm Whale Museum is located within the Convention Center of the Lingang Industrial Zone in Changsha Town, Rudong County, Nantong City, Jiangsu Province, covering an area of approximately 1500 square meters. The exhibition hall primarily displays the skin specimen (15.3 meters long, 4.2 meters wide, 4 meters high, weighing 1500 kilograms) and skeletal specimen (14.6 meters long, weighing approximately 1000 kilograms) of the sperm whale that stranded in the Yangkou Port sea area on February 14, 2016, which were prepared by the Xiamen Aquatic and Terrestrial Biology Research Institute.


Additionally, the museum showcases precious marine life specimens and local marine products preserved in formalin. The museum, with its focus on scientific education and marine environmental protection, fully embodies the unique marine ecological culture. Beyond these, the museum also exhibits Wen蛤Shen贝, jade, and peculiar stones (Man-Han Quan Xi). The museum is open year-round from Tuesday to Sunday, 09:00-17:00; closed all day on Mondays.
