The Qingpu District’s rural revitalization trilogy Liantang rural innovation forum and Manshan Rural Encounter brand launch event with the theme of ‘Rural Revitalization, Makers Contribute’ was successfully held on December 10 at the Rural Living Room in Dongshe Village, Liantang Town. Hosted by the People’s Government of Liantang Town, Qingpu District, and undertaken by Manshan Rural Encounter.

As the first homestay cluster resort supported by Qingpu District, Dongshe Village relies on the Chen Yun Memorial Hall to inherit the red spirit. By creating Shanghai’s first zero-carbon living demonstration village, it leads the way in green development. At the same time, benchmarking against the international internet-famous village Giethoorn in the Netherlands, with a global international perspective, it innovatively empowers China’s beautiful countryside and builds Dongshe Village into a demonstration sample for rural revitalization in the Yangtze River Delta.

Entrepreneurship in rural areas is an important measure for China to implement the rural revitalization strategy. On the road of creating innovative villages for rural revitalization, all-round model innovation, business format innovation, cognitive innovation, and planning innovation are indispensable. In the process of exploring the development mode of the new business format of ‘accommodation +’, through project cultivation, brand introduction, and resource integration, promote the chain, specialization, and branding development of tourist homestays.

The event is divided into three major links: keynote speeches, Manshan Rural Encounter brand launch and signing ceremony, and Liantang rural innovation forum. Yu Jie, Dean of the Yangtze River Delta Integration Three Hundred Miles Rural Revitalization Institute, delivered a speech on the integrated development of urban and rural areas in the Yangtze River Delta, expressing expectations for the Tricolor Liantang Rural Innovation Institute to cultivate more professional talents in rural revitalization.

**Cultural Ceremonies and Interactive Sessions**

The forum featured cultural ceremonies themed ‘Zen Tea, One Taste, Creating the Source’ by the famous purple sand artist Lu Quanming, who narrated the history of Zen tea and the uniqueness of purple sand pots. Yao Jie, founder of YAROS, brought an interactive session that infected the entire audience. In the intangible cultural heritage experience, through straw weaving, Pujing inheritance, traditional Liantang snacks, and village visits, exchanges and trust among rural innovation representatives were strengthened, providing more inspiration and ideas for future rural tourism development.
