The Waishuangxi Cableway in the south of Sanqingshan was completed and put into use in September 1996. It is a passenger cableway in Sanqingshan Scenic Area and has been in operation for 18 years. In November 2010, the company invested 120 million yuan to implement technical transformation at the original site. After 12 months, the cableway equipment was updated and upgraded. The cableway equipment is introduced from Doppelmayr, an Austrian cableway equipment manufacturer. Its design and manufacturing level are at the advanced world level. The new cableway is 2,418 meters long with a height difference of 594 meters. There are 14 supports along the way. The maximum running speed reaches 6 meters per second. It can transport 2,000 people per hour. It is one of the cableways with fast speed and large transportation capacity in China. There is no need to queue on weekends and golden weeks.
