The Shan Sheng Cultural Relics Museum in Taizhou was expanded from the former residence of Shan Yuhua, a group of Qing Dynasty buildings, integrating the architectural symbols of Taizhou’s ancient dwellings with modern architectural elements. The museum houses a collection of 322 cultural relics donated by Mr. Shan Sheng, a renowned European Chinese leader, Doctor of Law, and advocate for China’s ‘legislation for unification’. The collection includes 180 pieces of ceramics, 20 pieces of jade, 58 miscellaneous items, and 64 calligraphy and paintings. Most of these artifacts are of great age and exquisite craftsmanship, including works by famous artists and some rare treasures. The museum is open all year round from 9:00 to 17:00.
