The ancient cave, with its unique geographical features, faces the sea on two sides. Behind the nunnery, one finds a steep blue sea, its waves crashing against the undulating pine mounds. In contrast, the front view offers a serene panorama of green hills, serving as a natural screen and accompanied by the melodious songs of birds and the sweet scent of blossoms. Despite its name, Shancai Cave is not a cave in the traditional sense. It is, in fact, a stone crevice that measures approximately 1.5 meters in depth and 4 meters in width, capped by a massive rock that forms a flat, lid-like structure.
