**Disneyland Adventure Recap**

**Journey to Disney:**
Finally, the day has come to head to Disneyland! I took Thursday and Friday off as annual leave and arrived in Shanghai with friends on Thursday afternoon. We checked into a pre-booked homestay and indulged in Ke’s Commander chestnut cake at the Disney Station on Line 11 – a delightful treat at just 12 yuan each!
**Homestay Experience:**
The homestay offered a comfortable living environment. We enjoyed an afternoon tea on the balcony as the sun set, a simple yet delightful combination of yogurt and chestnut cake. Although the homestay was said to offer a view of Disney’s fireworks at night, we tried to catch a glimpse from both the window and the bathroom but couldn’t see much, eventually giving up.
**Disneyland Morning:**
Waking up before seven the next morning, we started getting ready, had breakfast downstairs, and took the shuttle to Disney (included in our homestay package). Fortunately, the weather was on our side – no rain, which was a relief after checking the forecast for a week.
**Entering the Park:**
Naively, I thought I had entered the park when I went through the temperature check tent, and again when I saw Donald Duck. However, we were still outside the park and took photos with Donald Duck before lining up. I didn’t do any research beforehand, as my friends had been to Disney before, so I just followed their lead.
**Early Admission:**
We thought we would enter the park at half past eight, but general admission was at ten. We were in line, and although it wasn’t raining, it was a bit cold. We decided to buy the early admission card to avoid waiting for nearly two hours. The staff directed us to Disney Town, where we were let in after inspection. Still, we hadn’t entered the park yet!
**Attractions Visited:**
Once inside, we used the mobile app to navigate the park’s attractions. Here’s a rundown of our experiences:
1. **Soarin’ Over Horizon:** A truly immersive ride that started with a bit of fear but ended quickly, leaving us eager for more.
2. **Pirates of the Caribbean:** A visual thrill that exceeded expectations.
3. **Seven Dwarfs Mine Train:** A fun and thrilling ride that left us screaming with excitement. We loved it so much, we queued up again in the afternoon!
4. **Honey Pot Spin:** A gentle spin in pots that was more about the experience than the thrill.
5. **Woody’s Roundup:** A hilarious ride with donkey cart wheels changing tracks, throwing us around.
6. **Slinky Dog Dash:** An okay ride, not as thrilling as we hoped.
**Conclusion:**
Our day at Disneyland was filled with excitement, laughter, and unforgettable memories. I had been paying attention to the weather a week in advance. I was especially afraid of rain. But there was none. I was happy.
Sure enough, I had never been there before. As soon as I entered the shed for taking body temperature, I thought I had entered the Disneyland park (covering my face). Later, when I saw Donald Duck, I also thought I had entered the park (covering my face).
Since the park hadn’t opened yet, we went to take pictures with Donald Duck first and then went to line up. I really didn’t do any research. Because my friends who went with me had been there before, I just followed them. I thought we could enter the park at 8:30. As a result, ordinary tickets would open only at ten o’clock. We lined up in the queue. Although there was no rain, it was a bit cold. Thinking that we still had to wait for nearly two hours, we bought an Early Entry Pass. The staff said we could enter directly from Disneytown. So we went there. When we got there, we were checked and allowed to enter. At this time, I thought I had entered the park again (but I hadn’t!). We started to line up. I also asked my friends which attraction we were lining up for now. They said we hadn’t entered yet. We were waiting for nine o’clock! Finally, we entered.
According to the mobile app navigation of park attractions, we went to [Soaring Over the Horizon] first. It was fun! It was really immersive. At the beginning of the launch, I was still afraid. I thought I was going to fall. I also smelled fragrance in the middle. I was also worried that the elephant’s trunk would hit me. But it ended quickly. Then we went to the next one.
The second one is [Pirates of the Caribbean]. It is said to be exciting, but it is visual excitement. It’s also very good.
The third one is ‘Seven Dwarfs Mine Train’. It’s very fun and exciting. There is a sense of weightlessness in the middle. Screaming loudly is very refreshing! Because it’s so fun, in the afternoon, my friend and I lined up to play it again.
‘Hunny Pot Spin’ is not exciting. It just spins around. But we are sitting inside a honey pot.
‘Toy Story Midway Mania!’ is extremely hilarious. The wheels under the donkey cart will change tracks, and we are tossed around.
‘Slinky Dog Spin’ is also okay. Not that exciting.
‘RC Racer’ Wow, this one is extremely exciting. It’s a U-shaped track. When rushing to the highest point, there’s no fear. But when going down from the highest point, the sense of weightlessness is extremely strong and a bit scary. Everyone screamed loudly. After coming down, our hands were shaking. We just sat on the chair below to take a break. We kept hearing everyone’s screams coming from above. Hahaha.
‘Greeting Pavilion Selfie Spot’ This is very funny. When we saw people lining up, we thought it was to line up to enter the castle. As a result, people were lining up to take pictures with the princess.
‘Enchanted Storybook Castle’ Finally entered the castle. Before, at the homestay, we could only see the tip of the castle and didn’t feel much. As soon as we entered the park in the morning and saw the entire castle, it was extremely shocking. It’s really dreamy. There are introductions of various princesses inside. Downstairs, there is also a store selling crystals. That crystal castle is extremely beautiful. During the fireworks show at night, the castle outside is also extremely beautiful.
‘Once Upon a Time Adventure’ Following Snow White’s story, we saw many lovely things.
‘Peter Pan’s Flight’ Wow, the scenery of this one is also extremely beautiful. It seems that we really exist in their world.
‘TRON Lightcycle Power Run’ This one is extremely fun! It has always been said that this is very exciting. We went to line up. I was especially afraid that my glasses would fall off. The staff said it could be placed in the grid in front of the machine. Then we sat on it according to the operation. In fact, we leaned on it. Like riding a motorcycle. Wow, the whole process is extremely exciting. We kept screaming. I even thought, why did I come to play this project when I was out of my mind? Later, after coming down, I was still a bit scared and my body was shaking all the time.
‘Jet Packs’ After riding the TRON Lightcycle Power Run, I was a bit frightened. I was a bit worried that this one would also be very scary. Later, I found that this one is okay. The TRON LightWe also enter the underground of the castle.

**Thunder Mountain Flume Ride**
The key point is that when we went to other attractions in the morning and passed by the Thunder Mountain Flume Ride, we were worried about getting splashed with water, so we didn’t play it. In the afternoon, we asked about it and were told that there is a certain probability of getting splashed. The raincoat costs ten yuan. We think it’s not expensive, so we bought a raincoat and played it once. It’s super fun. Bumping on the water is very interesting and not scary at all. After we finished, we immediately lined up again and played it once more. Because the direction of the rafting is uncertain and the sitting position is also uncertain. In the second time, we also saw the monster that we didn’t see in the first time. It has red eyes and wants to swallow us. We were laughing all the way. It’s very fun and highly recommended.
These are all the attractions we played. In the afternoon, we also watched the parade. Wow, it’s super touching. To be honest, I haven’t watched all of Disney’s works, but I know all the ones in the parade. When they came in front of us, we started waving. What impressed me deeply was when Mulan came. It was super touching. The fire sprayed out could even be felt for its heat. At the end, when we saw that there were no more floats and only staff members left, we were extremely reluctant. My friend and I shouted out why it ended. It must be the enthusiasm of the performers that infected me. They performed with great joy.
At more than seven o’clock in the evening, we were waiting in front of the castle and grabbed the front position. Originally, after playing for a whole day, I wasn’t tired at all. But after standing for an hour and a half, my legs were really extremely sore. However, the fireworks show is really super beautiful. I can’t describe it well due to my poor writing skills. You really must wait for the fireworks.
Here, the visit to Disneyland is over. I will come again!
We had lunch in Disneytown. It’s not bad. The per capita cost is more than one hundred yuan. In the evening, we ate inside the park. It’s a bit expensive. A plate of pasta costs 85 yuan. You can bring some food by yourself or go out of the park to eat in Disneytown. Even the FamilyMart at the subway entrance is also okay.
I also bought a hat. Just as summer is coming, I need a hat for sunshade. It’s beautiful!
