The Shanghai Earthquake Science Museum is located at the foot of Sheshan Mountain in Songjiang. The entire exhibition area spans 270 square meters, with the exhibition hall covering 100 square meters. By visiting the museum’s graphic and text hall, instrument display hall, and earthquake films, visitors can observe historical scenes of major earthquakes and view a collection of rare seismological and geomagnetic instruments. Among them is the only Vischer seismograph in China that has a history of over a century.
The museum is closed all day on Mondays and Sundays throughout the year; it is open from 09:00 to 16:00 on Tuesdays to Saturdays. Please note that the specific business status is subject to the daily opening conditions.
