Shanghai Haiwan National Forest Park Co., Ltd. is funded and constructed by Bright Food Group Co., Ltd. It was started in May 1999 and covers an area of 1,065.1 hectares (16,000 mu). It is 5.3 kilometers long from east to west and 2 kilometers wide from north to south. In December 2004, it was officially named Shanghai Haiwan National Forest Park by the State Forestry Administration and became the third 4A-level national forest park in Shanghai after ‘Sheshan National Forest Park’ and ‘Dongping National Forest Park’.
Shanghai Haiwan National Forest Park is a large artificial urban ecological forest park with a large area, the most vegetation varieties, a high canopy density, and good air quality within the scope of Shanghai.
