The Jixinzhao International Circus performance venue is located at the Shanghai Happy Valley Overseas Chinese Town Grand Theater, with an official opening scheduled for July 2024. The entire show is composed of outstanding performers from Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine; the circus troupe is primarily the Kazakh Circus (formerly the Soviet National Circus), which boasts renowned actors known worldwide. Additionally, they have invited circus elites from over 20 countries across Asia, Europe, America, and Africa to perform together. The show also features 12 former Soviet national meritorious actors.
Silk Road Legend is based on the story of the Silk Road, promoting the spirit of the ‘Belt and Road’ initiative, fostering friendship between China and Kazakhstan as well as neighboring countries, deepening cultural exchanges among multiple nations, and driving economic and trade development and exchanges. The program production employs advanced worldwide sound, light, and electric high-tech unique technologies to meticulously create a story-driven, meaningful, and innovative circus world that is both thrilling and captivating.
The entire performance is jointly created and produced by well-known Russian directors, famous Kazakh directors, and meritorious artists. As an international-level circus team, they not only offer over ten programs such as the thrilling giant wheel, joyful swings, and clown interactions but also feature galloping horses, the spirited Russian girls, and various high-difficulty actions that are sure to win the audience’s enthusiastic screams. The show also integrates hot dance performances, fairy tales, soft arts, acrobatics, and clown arts, allowing guests to experience the thrill, danger, beauty, and wonder of the circus up close, and allowing the audience to enjoy an exciting and thrilling audio-visual feast.
Opening hours: November 1st to November 30th, closed all day from Monday to Thursday; November 1st to November 30th, open from 19:30 to 20:50 on Fridays; November 1st to November 30th, open from 13:00 to 14:30 and 17:00 to 18:20 on Saturdays and Sundays; December 1st to October 31st, closed all day. Entry is allowed 90 minutes in advance.
Preferential policy for children: Children under 1.2 meters in height (inclusive) enter for free. Children do not occupy seats and must be accompanied by an adult to watch the performance. One adult ticket can only bring one child without a ticket.
