The Oriental Sports Center in Shanghai, also known as the ‘Crown on the Sea’, was originally named Shanghai Aquatic Sports Center. It is located in Pudong New Area, Shanghai. It is a comprehensive stadium mainly for aquatic events. It includes a main stadium with a capacity of 15,000 people, a swimming pool for 5,000 people, and an outdoor diving pool for 5,000 people. The total investment is about 2 billion yuan.
It was completed at the end of 2010. This venue will mainly serve the 2011 Shanghai World Swimming Championships. Opening hours: Open from 09:00 to 22:00 all year round.
