Sheshan National Tourism Resort, established in 1995, spans an area of approximately 64.08 square kilometers, with a core area of about 10.88 square kilometers. It is located in the southwest of Shanghai and northwest of Songjiang, 30 kilometers away from the city center.
The resort boasts the unique natural forest resources on land in Shanghai, with nine peaks of varying sizes stretching from south to north, creating the distinctive scenery known as the ‘Nine Peaks and Twelve Hills’ in the Shanghai area. Since ancient times, it has been a well-known scenic area with beautiful scenery. It is a natural and cultural tourist area characterized by mountains, supplemented by water, combining Chinese and Western elements, and blending ancient and modern features. It is open all year round from 08:00 to 16:30.
