The Shanghai Sheshan National Tourist Resort was established in 1995. With a planned area of approximately 64.08 square kilometers and a core area of about 10.88 square kilometers, it is located in the southwest of Shanghai and the northwest of Songjiang, 30 kilometers away from the city center. The Sheshan National Tourist Resort has the only natural mountain forest resources on land in Shanghai. Nine peaks of different sizes extend from south to north, forming the unique scenery of ‘nine peaks and twelve mountains’ in the Shanghai area.
Since ancient times, it has been a well-known scenic area with beautiful scenery. It is a natural and cultural tourist area that is known for its mountains, supplemented by water, combines Chinese and Western elements, and integrates ancient and modern features.
