**Shanghai Summer Travel Destinations: Sunny Seas of Changxing Island in Summer**
**My Favorite Summer Adventure**
Summer has arrived, and with it, the irresistible urge to feel the sea breeze. This time, I embarked on a weekend trip with my family and pets, camping from Changxing Island to Nanhui Lingang, and experiencing all the summer seas of Shanghai. In the comfort of early summer, it’s the perfect season for a family getaway. Shanghai’s beaches are virtually tourist-free, and Changxing Island is so quiet that we almost had a beautiful coastline all to ourselves.
**The Journey and Equipment**
For this short beach trip, I used the OPPO Reno6 Pro, paired with a rejuvenating lighting phone case, which proved to be an excellent tool for capturing our memories. Changxing Island, nestled between Pudong and Chongming, is about an hour’s drive from the city center, with a toll of 22 yuan, making it my top choice for suburban camping in Shanghai.
**Camping at Changxing Island Country Park**
Our camping spot was in Changxing Island Country Park, easily accessible through Gate 1, with a nearby parking lot. It was a pleasant 10-minute walk from the gate to our sunny camping lawn. The Mao Mao Village camping site provided us with everything we needed: tents, air mattresses, oil lamps, outdoor portable chairs, egg roll tables, and charcoal grills.
**Exploring the Surrounding Areas**
During our two-day trip in June, we visited several places, including Changxing Island, Shanghai; Changxing Island Country Park; the Shanghai Yangtze River Bridge; the Donghai Bridge; and the Dishui Lake South Hui Mouth Sea View Park. Each location offered unique photo opportunities and a chance to immerse ourselves in the bohemian, free-spirited nature of a self-driving, free travel experience.
**Details of the Trip**

**Picnic and Camping Essentials:**
Don’t forget to pack some picnic snacks and drinks, as well as toys for your pets. It’s a good idea to bring along a medium-sized tent for three people, which was perfect for our group.
**Daytime Activities:**
During the day, we enjoyed rowing boats in the park. You can also let your dogs run freely on the lawn and engage in picnics. Don’t forget to bring your own sleeping bags or thin blankets, as the temperature drops significantly at night.
**Evening Entertainment:**
At night, the park hosts bonfire parties and open-air movie screenings. You can also enjoy dog races and various cute pet check-in installations around the bonfire.
**Relaxing Moments:**
When you feel tired, rest by your tent and watch the children happily rolling around. It’s a heartwarming sight to see the mother capturing these moments with her camera.
**Exploring Changxing Island:**
On the second day, wake up naturally and leave the campsite. Head to my favorite piece of sea on Changxing Island. To get there, navigate to Qianwei Branch Road, then drive towards the sea dike. Around the corner, you’ll find my favorite sea view in Shanghai, especially on a sunny day. The blue sea and sky create a summer standard scenery, with the Shanghai Yangtze River Bridge visible in the distance.
**Capturing the Moment:**
Continue along the dike, and you’ll find a section where you can walk to the sea, backdropped by a huge white windmill. It’s a perfect spot for photos, with every shot resembling a Japanese anime poster. The AI rejuvenating beauty makeup function of the OPPO Reno6 Pro is ideal for capturing great skin photos, with built-in beauty effects that make portraits look stunning.
**Visiting Nanhui New City Beach:**
Nanhui New City Beach is another must-visit location. From there, you can take the Donghai Bridge directly to Zhoushan for more adventures.Nanhui New City Beach offers fantastic scenery, with views of the Donghai Bridge and the sea. On a sunny day, it’s the perfect spot for capturing stunning shots. The OPPO Reno6 Pro’s Dazzling Bokeh Portrait feature makes portrait photography incredibly easy and enjoyable, allowing for beautiful depth-of-field effects. With a few taps, you can transition from tourist snaps to atmospheric portraits by simply switching to portrait mode.
Say goodbye to heavy DSLRs; the OPPO Reno6 Pro’s quad-camera system can handle everything from wide-angle shots to close-ups, making it the ultimate all-round photography smartphone for any journey. In addition to the sea embankment, the coastal road is lined with scenic views. Adjacent to the beach is Windmill Bay, where you can capture massive windmills, perfect for summer.
If you have time, visit Dishui Lake and Nanhui Mouth Sea-Viewing Park, where you can enjoy beautiful sea views without leaving Shanghai. For this trip, the OPPO Reno6 Pro was the photography tool of choice, and its new summer sea color scheme is perfect for the season. With its high aesthetic appeal, it has become an essential photography tool for travel bloggers on their daily outings.
