The sightseeing hall at the top of Shanghai Tower is the functional experience area of Shanghai Tower. In the 360-degree full-view sightseeing hall at the top of Shanghai, you can see the Oriental Pearl Tower, Jinmao Tower, and Shanghai World Financial Center at your feet. Growing skyline: The exhibition item is located in the foyer of the exhibition hall at the top of Shanghai on the first basement floor. With a 100-second live-action restoration animation film, it condenses and deduces the development history of the skyline of the Bund and Lujiazui in Pudong since Shanghai opened as a port in 1840. Skyscraper dream: Using the current domestic motion self-luminous transparent screen technology and the combination of transparent crystal models, it comprehensively shows the mysteries of skyscrapers. It shows the evolution process of the world’s tallest building with constantly refreshed heights since 1885 and also shows the “skyscraper dream” that humans are constantly pursuing. It shows the world’s tall building rankings as of 2020 professionally provided by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH).


It is a window to overview the world’s high-rise buildings. Gene bank: The gene bank reveals the entire process of planning, birth, and construction of this vertical city of Shanghai Tower. It simulates and shows more than 10 world’s pioneering feats such as the sky garden and dampers, and reveals the unknown genetic structures of many buildings. With a 1:350 nylon material overall printed model of the building, and a new media technology display method integrating main screen and sub-screens with sound, light, and electricity, it shows various green, intelligent, and humanistic rich connotations such as the rainwater collector, double-layer glass curtain wall, BIM construction technology, “Shanghai Maiden”, and “Fish Joy Picture” of Shanghai Tower, expressing the concept of vertical city.


The Shanghai Tower Observation Deck is equipped with three of the world’s fastest high-speed elevators, capable of reaching speeds of 18 meters per second, taking only 55 seconds to reach the 118th floor where the Observation Deck is located. During the elevator ride, screens display the real-time speed, height, and orientation of the elevator, leaving a deep impression on visitors with its speed, comfort, and stability.

Breaking Through the Sky: The interactive project ‘Breaking Through the Sky’ utilizes advanced AV devices to provide an ultra-realistic experience, combining multimedia with the physical height of the Observation Deck. Standing on the 118th floor amidst a realistic projection of the Lujiazui skyscrapers and advanced motion-sensing hotspot control systems, the virtual atmosphere creates a ‘crack’ in the sky, initiating a thrilling challenge.


From the 360-degree panoramic Observation Deck, one can gaze upon the Oriental Pearl Tower, Jin Mao Tower, and the World Financial Center at their feet, and look out to the Expo Park, the City God Temple, the 80,000-seat stadium, Hongqiao Airport, and the confluence of Suzhou River and Huangpu River into the East China Sea. Here, one experiences the ever-changing weather and the bustling world, as well as the wonders of the mountains.

Shanghai Tower Brand Store: The brand stores are located on the 118th floor of the Observation Deck and the B2 level exit, offering a wide range of products featuring Shanghai and Shanghai Tower elements. Operating hours are from January 1st to September 15th and from September 17th to December 31st, 08:30-22:00; September 16th is closed. Parking facilities are available at the underground parking of the Shanghai Tower, located at 501 Yincheng Middle Road, Pudong New District, Shanghai, with 400 spaces and a daily cap of 120 yuan.


Luggage storage is free of charge, and restrooms are located on each floor with clear signs. Nursing rooms are available on B2 and the 118th floor. There are several restaurants in the building, including Lounge 552 on the 119th floor, where advance purchase is recommended for on-site dining.
