Shanghai Urban History Development Exhibition

Located within the Oriental Pearl Tower, the Shanghai Urban History Development Exhibition is a visual display that reflects the modern historical changes of Shanghai. The entire exhibition is composed of seven sections: ‘Huating Source’, ‘Cityscape’, ‘Port Glimpses’, ‘Ten Miles of Foreign Settlements’, ‘Maritime Pursuit’, ‘Architecture Expo’, and ‘Vehicles and Horses Through the Ages’.


The exhibition employs a scene-based display technique that integrates artifacts, props, and models, complemented by high-tech methods. It is a collection that combines history, culture, and appreciation, featuring an innovative concept. The exhibition is open all year round from 09:00 to 21:00.
