Shanghai Urban Vegetable Garden is one of the earliest vegetable-themed parks in the country. It is located on the shore of Hangzhou Bay in Haiwan Town, Fengxian District. The main visiting area is 400 mu. It has five main venues including the Farming Expo Hall, Boya Farm Garden, Fragrant Vegetable Garden, Strange Melon and Unusual Vegetable Garden, and Four Seasons Orchard. There is also a leisure and entertainment area on the west side of the park, which has scenic spots such as an ecological maze, aquatic vegetable area, grassland football, beach volleyball, and kite flying. In the park, you can take an electric car or rent a sightseeing bicycle to wander around and pick fresh vegetables to experience the fun of returning to nature. In the Urban Vegetable Garden, there are more than 200 kinds of new, strange, excellent vegetables. While personally planting, harvesting, picking, cooking, and tasting vegetables, you can also learn about relevant knowledge such as farming history and culture, vegetable culture, modern agricultural planting technologies, planting models, and agricultural product processing. Relying on the poetic and picturesque rural beauty and rich cultural landscapes, Shanghai Urban Vegetable Garden takes vegetables as the soul and green, natural, and healthy as the foundation.
