The Shanghai World Financial Center stands in the Lujiazui Financial and Trade Zone, being the fourth tallest building in China, resembling a bottle opener in shape. Ascending to the 100th-floor observation deck allows one to look directly at the spire of the Oriental Pearl Tower. Walking on the suspended observation corridor with transparent glass beneath one’s feet, overlooking the scenery on both sides of the Huangpu River, feels like strolling in the clouds. The Shanghai World Financial Center rises to 492 meters, with 101 floors above ground and six entrances. Levels B2 to 3 are dedicated to shopping and dining areas, which are open without an admission fee. Floors 7 to 77 are office spaces, while floors 79 to 93 house the Park Hyatt Hotel. The entrance to the observation deck is located at Entrance 2, near the East Tai Road and Huayuan Stone Bridge Road. From the entrance, descend to B1 for ticket sales and inspection, then take the high-speed elevator that can reach 8 meters per second, which takes only 66 seconds from B2 to the 94th floor. Floors 94 to 100 are designated as the observation deck; the tour can start from the 94th floor, proceed to the 97th floor via escalator, cross the observation skywalk, and take the elevator to the 100th floor. Alternatively, one can follow this route in reverse. On the 94th floor, one can also purchase and mail postcards. The 100th floor, located at 474 meters, features a suspended observation corridor that is approximately 55 meters long, with three transparent glass floors that allow a clear view of the vehicles and pedestrians on the ground. The 97th floor, situated at 439 meters, boasts a distinctive open-roof design; on sunny days, the glass roof slides open on both sides, making the observation hall feel like a floating ‘sky bridge’ in the air. The 94th floor, at 423 meters, has an 8-meter-high ceiling, providing an expansive space to take in the Huangpu River view, along with a souvenir shop, café, and opportunities to capture climbing mementos. Various exhibitions and events can also be held here. Opening hours are from 07:00 to 21:00 all year round. Service facilities include a parking lot: [Shanghai World Financial Center – Parking Lot] with a reference price of ¥15/hour; located at 100 Century Avenue, Pudong New Area, Shanghai World Financial Center, with 1100 parking spaces. Restrooms are clearly marked, and there is a nursing room located in the Shanghai World Financial Center business building. Dining options are available within the scenic building with multiple restaurants.
