Located on the first floor of the Youth Activity Center in Huangpu District, the Shanghai Youth Science and Technology Exploration Hall officially opened on December 27, 2006. The exhibition area of the hall covers 1100 square meters, integrating science, art, and information technology into a new type of science popularization exhibition and experience center.
The entire exploration hall is designed with the purposes of “stimulating youth’s interest in science and technology”, “promoting youth’s exploration of scientific knowledge”, and “cultivating youth’s innovative spirit”. It features three exhibition halls named “Journey of Discovery”, “Path of Discovery”, and “Dream of Discovery”, with a total of 58 exhibits, approximately 70% of which are interactive.

Each exhibit is created from the perspectives of “focusing on youth interests” and “experiencing scientific methods”, utilizing modern scientific and technological achievements such as digital recognition, image capture, and audio variation to present the exhibits. This approach transforms typically dry scientific knowledge into an engaging context, allowing youth to absorb and practice knowledge in a relaxed atmosphere.

In an environment where science and art converge, a series of exploration activities ranging from simple to complex enable youth to experience scientific methods and gain scientific inspiration.
