The band Glass Animals, which has been nominated for Grammy and Brit Awards and has diamond-level album sales, released their highly anticipated fourth studio album I Love You So F***ing Much this summer and started their global tour. This tour is named ‘Human Music Group Sensations Glass Animals: TOUR OF EARTH’. This tour will witness the band’s first appearance on the most milestone performance venues in their career, including Madison Square Garden in New York and the O2 Arena in London, and is planned to land in Asia in the spring of 2025.

The band was established in Oxford in 2010. Led by the lead singer, songwriter and producer Dave Bayley, other members include his childhood friend Joe Seaward (drummer), Edmund Irwin-Singer (bassist and keyboardist) and Drew MacFarlane (guitarist and keyboardist).

The new album I Love You So F***ing Much is opened by the singles Creatures in Heaven and A Tear In Space (Airlock). It was born from an existential crisis experienced by Bayley last summer. At that time, the band’s third studio album Dreamland (2020) and the hit single Heat Waves made them a great success globally. Dreamland released during the epidemic is permeated with the loneliness brought by isolation, making Glass Animals quickly rise to a phenomenal band.

‘Heat Waves’ has broken multiple global records. It became the first song by a British band to top the Billboard Hot 100 for five consecutive weeks since the Spice Girls’ ‘Wannabe’ in 1995. It is also the first chart-topping song completed by a single songwriter and producer (Dave Bayley) since Pharrell Williams’ ‘Happy’. Dave jokingly calls it a ‘never-ending song’. This song has not only been nominated for Grammy and Brit Awards but also topped the Australian triple j Hottest 100 chart. With a global cumulative play count of over 44 billion times, it became the first single by a British band to top the Spotify global chart. Now, this globally renowned band has released its most personal album to date, ‘I Love You So F***ing Much’. The album presents ten different aspects of love. Bayley is responsible for the creation and production of all the songs. From existentialism to intimate relationships, from witnessing first love in childhood to romance, hatred and heartbreak, each song presents a different aspect of love. Dave shares, ‘This album is all of me. For me, it’s like my child. The creative process was sometimes painful. I had to delve deeply into various types of love and the feelings they bring, from happiness to ordinariness, from regret to hatred and loss. All these stories unfold against the vast background of the universe. What this album expresses is that the emotional connection between humans is grander, more important, and more complex than the universe. Nothing else matters.’ Opening hours: 02/24 – 02/25. The performance time and duration are subject to the actual situation on site.
