Shangzhenguan

Shangzhenguan is located on Qionglong Mountain in Suzhou. It is in Cangsang Town, 20 kilometers west of Suzhou City. Shangzhenguan, located on Sanmao Peak, faces the ancient city of Suzhou and backs Xiaowang Mountain. To the south, it is adjacent to Taohualing, Baimaling, Lankeshan, Dayuanling, and Xiaoyuanling on Xiangshan Mountain in Xukou. The peaks are continuous and undulating, like a tumbling dragon, with magnificent momentum. Shangzhenguan was first built in the元始 years of Emperor Pingdi of the Han Dynasty. Later, it was repeatedly destroyed and rebuilt. Emperor Qianlong entered Shangzhenguan six times to pray for blessings. The Shangzhenguan we see now is newly built. There are many halls arranged according to the mountain topography from east to west. The walls are all painted red and the momentum is magnificent.

Opening hours: Open all year round from 8:00 to 16:30.
