Located in Shantang Street, the venue boasts an antique ambiance with well-managed lighting. During intervals between different bridge scenes, a projection screen is lowered to explain some history of Kunqu Opera, creating an ethereal and dreamlike experience, as if time has stood still. Shantang Kunqu Hall presents classic Kunqu Opera performances daily, occasionally interspersed with traditional and modern programs rich in Gusu charm, such as Suzhou Pingtan, Guzheng performance, and comic plays. Open all year round from 14:00 to 22:00.
