Shenxiu Lake is located in the Langya Mountain Scenic Area. Named after the phrase ‘grand and profound beauty’ from the classic text ‘Ode to the Pavilion of the Drunken Old Man’, it is surrounded by mountains on three sides, offering a picturesque view.

Visitors can enjoy the water, fish, and play by the lake, making it an ideal place to escape the summer heat. The lake’s water source is from Langya Stream, which flows into the Yujiawa Reservoir, maintaining a clear and transparent flow throughout the seasons.

A lakeheart bridge, known as the Nine-Turn Bridge, spans the lake with nine bends. The bridge piers are constructed with bluestone, and the bridge deck is made of prefabricated concrete, showcasing distinct modern architectural features.

On the bridge, there is a lakeheart pavilion with a golden glass tile roof and six corners adorned with colored glaze bird fences, reflecting ancient architectural styles. Adjacent to the lake is a three-room, six-beam wooden waterside pavilion, serving as a service venue for tourists. The waterside pavilion is built on an artificial bluestone foundation with lake water flowing underneath.

During spring and summer, visitors can enjoy the cool and refreshing waterside, which is truly a wonderful experience. Shenxiu Lake is open all year round, with full-day access, although specific business hours may vary depending on the day.
