Shide Hall was built during the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty and has a history of more than 150 years. The owner of the house, the Cao family, has been a scholarly family for generations. In 1906 (the 32nd year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty), Longjiangyuan was established. It has a front store and a back workshop and is quite large in scale. Nowadays, Shide Hall has a total of five entrances and a total of 69 rooms, including storefronts, workshops, tea halls, sedan chair halls, living rooms, kitchens, accounting rooms, main halls, master bedrooms, study rooms, music rooms, and embroidery buildings.
