The Shijutang Scenic Area is located 4 kilometers northwest of Lingxi Town, Cangnan County (within Puting Township). Here, there are numerous large stones competing in strangeness and beauty, so the mountain is named Shijutang for its gathering of stones. At the center and higher place, there are halls, one is the Xu Zhenjun Temple and the other is the Yuquan Zen Temple, so it is commonly known as Shijutang.
This place is renowned for its strange rocks, secluded caves, blue lakes and religious culture. It is divided into three parts: Shijutiancheng, Yuquandongtian and Taibaoguandri. Natural landscapes include Single Person Lane, Yixiantian, Golden Turtle Carrying a Child, Nine-section Dragon, Jigong Hat, Toad Rock, and Palms Joined Rock. Cultural landscapes include Ziyun Taoist Temple, Yuqing Taoist Temple, Yuquan Zen Temple, Guanyin Pavilion and so on.
