The Shitang Bamboo Sea is located in Shitang Village, Jiangning District, Nanjing City. It is known as the ‘Little Jiuzhaigou’ of Nanjing. The scenic area is planted with a large area of green bamboos, which complement each other with the Jiulong Pond, forming a natural charming scenery mainly composed of pond water, bamboo sea and pine waves. The ‘winding path leading to a secluded place’ in the scenic area is a wonder. It surrounds the Jiulong Pond, winding along the mountain road and leading to the mysterious and secluded place of the bamboo sea. On both sides of the mountain road, the bamboos are green and tall and straight, mixed with low shrubs. Among the undulating and staggered bamboos, the Jiulong Pond is faintly visible. Walking on the path, feeling the fresh and comfortable bamboo sea and forest breeze, it is quite like stepping into a paradise.
In addition, there are scenic spots such as Wenzhu Pond and Qianshitang Village. Traveling here in midsummer can better appreciate its greenness, elegance, silence and coolness. Opening hours: Open from 09:00 to 17:00 all year round.
