Shiyezhou is an alluvial island in the Yangtze River, covering an area of 44 square kilometers. For hundreds of years, it has been an isolated island between Zhenjiang and Yangzhou. The Runyang Yangtze River Highway Bridge completed and opened to traffic in 2005 spans Shiyezhou from north to south. An interchange is built on Shiyezhou, establishing close connections between Shiyezhou and the major transportation in the north and south regions. From the perspective of regional tourism, the Yangtze River Delta region is rich in tourism resources with a wide range of types. Shiyezhou is an important link connecting Zhenjiang and Yangzhou tourist destinations and a must-see place for regional tourism. Its unique location and natural advantages have gradually become a hot spot of people’s attention. Shiyezhou has a quiet environment, fresh air, and intact ecology. There are Bridge Park, Mao Yisheng Memorial Hall, and dozens of rural tourist attractions (spots) on the island. It is a well-known tourist resort at home and abroad. There is a comprehensive tourist resort villa resort and horse racing field integrating culture, entertainment, agricultural science and technology demonstration park, and tourism and vacation.
