Shuangxi Drift Scenic Area is located in Shuangxi, Jingshan Town, Yuhang District, over 30 kilometers northwest of Hangzhou. It boasts beautiful scenery and a pleasant climate, making it one of the popular rafting destinations in the Yangtze River Delta region. The scenic area is composed of three main sections: bamboo rafting, rubber rafting, and Shuangxi Amusement Park. Shuangxi Amusement Park is open all year round, offering bamboo and rubber rafting in the summer and only bamboo rafting in the winter. Bamboo rafting is an early developed and popular attraction within the area, with a total distance of 3.5 kilometers. Besides the enjoyment of rafting and water fights, a unique feature of the bamboo rafting is that visitors must take a cart to the starting point after entering the scenic area, offering a special experience for many urban tourists. Bamboo rafting is not very thrilling, making it suitable for the elderly and children. Near the end of the bamboo rafting is Shuangxi Amusement Park, where visitors can swim in the open-air water area, barbecue, chat, and relax in the Mengxi Beach leisure area; experience the rapids and brave the carousel in the amusement park area; enjoy the panoramic view of Shuangxi bamboo sea on the Ferris wheel, as well as bumper cars, horse riding, and the bamboo sea haunted house. Rubber rafting, a newly built attraction, starts at Silingxi Shatang Station and ends at the confluence of Shuangxi. It is much more thrilling than bamboo rafting and is suitable for urban youth. However, a rubber raft can only accommodate two people, so a family of three would be better off with a bamboo raft. Operating hours are from 08:00 to 16:00 all year round.
