Shungeng Mountain, originally the boundary between Changfeng County in Hefei and Huainan City, is now incorporated into Huainan City, serving as an urban mountain between the eastern and southern urban areas of Huainan. In September 1992, it was approved by the Ministry of Forestry as a national forest park with a planned area of 38,000 mu. The scenic area is rich in vegetation, with neat forest formations, shaded paths, and winding trails leading to secluded spots. It is a popular destination for urban dwellers to camp and escape the heat throughout the year.

The main attractions include the beautiful peaks and strange rocks of Dongshan and Luoshan, springs, caves, lakes (Quanshan Lake and Laolongtan), ancient trees, and other natural landscapes. There are also cultural landscapes such as the remains of ancient temples, ancient stockades and horse racing fields, revolutionary activity sites, Japanese bunker groups, ancient tomb groups, ancient battlefield sites, and ancient buildings. The area is open all year round from 08:00 to 19:30. For detailed information, please refer to the public notices at the scenic area.
