The official name of Sifang Contemporary Art Lake District is ‘China International Architectural Art Practice Exhibition’. This project took nearly ten years. More than twenty works of internationally renowned architects and artists were solicited and constructed, creating an architectural ecological area integrating functional buildings and various art exhibition spaces, comparable to the Setouchi Triennale. Here, it is adjacent to the beautiful Foshou Lake and Laoshan Forest Park, allowing architects and artists to carry out their respective practices in a serene and spiritual environment. The evolving Sifang Contemporary Art District invites people to experience, and each experience will bring different experiences. Here, art and architecture coexist in harmony. The public can not only appreciate the beauty of contemporary art and architectural spaces, but also get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, meditate, and gain spiritual satisfaction. Among these more than twenty international architectural masters, Kazuyo Sejima, Ryue Nishizawa, and Wang Shu have won the ‘Pritzker Prize’, known as the Nobel Prize in architecture.
