Siming Lake is located in the northern part of Siming Mountain, in Liangnong Town, Yuyao City, over 10 kilometers away from the city center. It boasts beautiful scenery with clear ripples and a harmonious reflection of the lake and the mountains, covering an area of nearly 20 square kilometers.
Siming Lake gathers streams, springs, and waterfalls, with a volume of about 120 million cubic meters, irrigating 300,000 acres of fertile land in the northwest of Yuyao. The lake is rich in fishery resources, attracting a large number of birds.
There are several attractions within the lake, such as the Eight Character Bridge, Wild Cat Bay, and Ding Mountain, forming five islands in the lake, resembling emeralds inlaid in a mirror, enhancing the charm of Siming Lake.
The Jade Rabbit Island, located in the heart of the lake, covers an area of about 270 acres and resembles a jade rabbit, especially under the moonlight, as if the jade rabbit is paying homage to the moon. The island is covered with green pines and bamboo, with orchards and tea gardens spread across the hills, and winding mountain paths that invite one to wander and enjoy the tranquility and freshness, refreshing the spirit.
Jade Rabbit Island has now been developed into Siming Lake Resort, becoming a leisure and vacation destination in Eastern Zhejiang. Surrounding the lake are other scenic spots, such as the second-largest library in Eastern Zhejiang – Wugui Building, and Baishuichong.
The lake is open all year round, accessible 24/7.
