The best time to visit Siming Mountain is typically in October each year, when the mountain’s maple leaves gradually change color, creating a captivating scene. In winter, after snowfall, the mountain is covered in white, and during the cherry blossom season in March and April, the scenery is equally beautiful.
The park’s admission ticket includes five sub-attractions such as Shenxiu Valley, Yangtian Lake, and Shuilian Cave, which are relatively scattered, so self-driving is recommended. Due to the park’s mountainous location, there is a winding mountain road that takes nearly 2 hours, which is not easy to navigate, and it is not recommended for inexperienced drivers. Visitors coming from Ningbo and Xikou usually pass through Zhendong Bridge first, arriving at the east gate ticket office, where Shenxiu Valley and Siming Mountain Villa are located nearby. Taking the right fork near Siming Mountain Villa leads to Yangtian Lake and the water curtain cave of Bogu Yan. The lake and mountain scenery of Yangtian Lake are soothing to the soul.
The entire Siming Mountain does not have particularly striking natural landscapes, but it offers a peaceful environment to enjoy the lush vegetation and breathe in the fresh air of nature. There is no need to be fixated on visiting all the attractions; instead, taking a leisurely and comfortable break here is the ideal choice. If time permits, an overnight stay is recommended, with Siming Mountain Villa being a good resort option, and there are also resorts near Yangtian Lake that offer better accommodation and dining options.
The park is open year-round from 08:30 to 17:00.
