The name Sinan Mansions comes from Sinan Road. This area was developed since the 1920s. In the following ten years, garden villas in the area south of Laffer Road, east of Masu Road (now Sinan Road), and west of Luban Road (now Chongqing South Road) were completed one after another, attracting a large number of military and political leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals and well-known artists to move in at that time, making this area a place for the upper class society to live and gather at that time.
Today, Sinan Mansions consists of 49 renovated historical buildings and 9 new buildings into four complementary functional areas – hotel, commerce, residence and office. Sinan Mansions has become one of the preservation and protection projects of Shanghai’s historical and cultural features and historical buildings, integrating humanities, fashion and historical background.Opening hours: Open all day all year round.
