The Sino-Japanese Cherry Blossom Friendship Forest was initially established in the early 1980s. After more than two decades of construction and supplementation, the cherry blossom forest has expanded from its original 12 varieties and a few hundred cherry trees to become one of the largest in the East China region, spanning over 100 acres with over 50 varieties and nearly 10,000 cherry trees. In 2002, a signature building, the ‘Cherry Blossom Viewing Pavilion’, was constructed within the forest. This three-story structure stands tall, adding a touch of elegance to the sea of flowers. Every April, when the cherry blossoms bloom in unison, their vibrant and varied colors are captivating and enchanting. The forest is open year-round and accessible 24 hours a day.
