Built in 1928, this small church features Baroque architectural style similar to other churches in Macau. Its exterior walls are white, adorned with oval windows and a bell tower. In front of the church stands a monument commemorating the local victory over pirates in 1910.

Inside, there was originally a silver reliquary, which was moved in 1978 and contained the remains of St. Francis’ hand. This reliquary has since been transferred to St. Joseph’s Seminary for safekeeping. St. Francis arrived in southern China from Japan over 400 years ago, passing away in 1552 on a small island near Macau. Additionally, a reliquary that contained the remains of 59 Japanese and 14 Vietnamese victims of the 1835 fire at the Ruins of St. Paul’s was relocated to the Catholic Art Museum behind the Ruins.
