Sucheng Scenic Area is known as a ‘paradise on earth’. The scenic area is surrounded by mountains on three sides and faces the sea on the southeast. It is said that Emperor Li Shimin of the Tang Dynasty once spent the night here, hence the name. The scenic area wins with its tranquility and is full of mountain and wild charm. There are tourist areas such as Baojia Mountain, Chuanshan Waterfall, and Maple Bay in the scenic area. Baojia Mountain is full of jagged rocks, small but full of wonders. Just like a mountain stone bonsai. According to legend, Emperor Li Shimin of the Tang Dynasty was trapped here during his eastern expedition. Fortunately, his subordinates rescued him in time. Later, this mountain was named Baojia Mountain. Maple Bay is densely covered with a wide variety of native maple trees on both sides of the valley, up to more than 20 meters. Along the mountain trend, it stretches for six or seven miles from low to high, covering an area of nearly 500 mu. In summer, the green leaves cover the sun. In autumn, the mountains are full of red leaves. Chuanshan Waterfall is very similar to the Sandie Spring in Lushan Mountain, so it is also known as ‘China’s Little Lushan Mountain’. Opening hours: From March 1st to November 30th, 8:00 – 17:30. Admission stops at 17:00. From December 1st to February 28th of the following year, 8:00 – 16:30. Supplementary note on preferential policies: 1. Free ticket policy: Children under 1.4 meters (including 1.4 meters) in height or children within 6 years old (including 6 years old) can enter the scenic area for free with valid certificates.
