Plot: In the early 1940s, the father went to Nanyang and there was no news. The mother raised her son with great hardship. By accident, when the son knocked on the Yingge mallet left by his father, he mistakenly entered an illusory time and space. He understood his father’s righteousness for the country and family, untied his mother’s heart knot, and also gained insights and grew in the process. During the creation and rehearsal of the dance drama ‘ODES TO HEROS’, visits were made to villages and towns in Chaoshan. Chen Laifa, the national intangible cultural heritage representative inheritor of Puning Yingge dance, Lin Bingguang, the national intangible cultural heritage representative inheritor of Jiazi Yingge dance, and Chaoyang Yingge Fenggang Yingge dance team were invited to conduct systematic training for the actors. The play is carefully crafted by a first-class domestic creative team. Shi Qianjin serves as the art director. Qian Xin and Wang Sisi serve as the chief choreographers.
