The temporary hall of Suzhou Dongwu Museum is laid out with ‘four halls and one corridor’, namely, Thousand Mirrors Hall, Celadon Studio, Bronze Charm of Wu Style, Jigu Hall and Chinese Stone Carving Art Corridor. The exhibits on display are provided by Mr. Chen Fengjiu, a collector. There are more than 2,400 pieces in nine series including bronze mirrors, celadon, stone carvings, bronze wares, tri-colored glazed pottery of the Tang Dynasty, ancient pottery, purple sand, porcelain of the Tang and Song Dynasties, and ancient art. The collections cover various historical periods in China, with a large cultural span and high taste. More than a hundred representative artifacts such as the bronze mirror of the King of Wu, the sword of the King of Wu, the sword of the King of Yue, the bronze bail-handled he, and the basin for inspection of the State of Wu in the exhibits of this museum highlight the exquisite skills of the ancestors in the Wu region and the long history of Wu culture.
Opening hours: Open all year round, Tuesday to Sunday, 09:00 – 17:00.
