Suzhou Jiangnan Farming Culture Park is a ‘National AAAA-level tourist attraction’, ‘Jiangsu Province’s high-level rural tourism area’, and ‘China’s farming culture demonstration park’. Covering an area of 500 mu, construction started in September 2009 and was completed and opened in July 2010. After the renovation and upgrade in 2019, the whole park is divided into six areas: Feimili Pet Paradise, amusement park, farmhouse park area, workshop street, water park, and leisure wooden house area.
Suzhou Jiangnan Farming Culture Park reproduces the beautiful rural scenery, simple farmhouse life, and a happy pet world. Here, you can feel the essence of 7,000 years of farming culture, enjoy the beautiful flowers and scenery, taste farming culture, get close to pets at zero distance, experience workshop DIY, have fun in amusement park projects. The water park in summer is even more exciting and full of joy! Feimili Pet Paradise In Feimili Pet Paradise, there are nearly 30 kinds of cute pets. There are three major theme areas: performance area, free-range area, and interaction area. After the upgrade and renovation in 2019, Feimili Pet Paradise introduced emus from Australia, fennec foxes from South Africa, and Shetland ponies from the United Kingdom, refreshing tourists’ established impression of zoos with a new concept. At the same time, there are rich and interesting sea lion shows, large animal shows, pig diving shows and other shows held in the park every day. Amusement Park The amusement park covers an area of 30 mu and is a large theme park with 17 projects including Ferris wheel, carousel, bumper cars, haunted house, jungle flying squirrel, Huaguoshan rafting, thunder turntable, self-controlled aircraft, hurricane flying chair, happy battle city, space walk, fierce battle shark island, mini shuttle, happy horse racing, dream mushroom, pirate ship, and happy ball spraying car. Farmhouse Park Area The farmhouse park area is mainly composed of a rice field restaurant, a sunny lawn, and an ox island. The rice field restaurant takes Jiangnan farming culture and rice farming culture as the theme. The rice field is the theme landscape of the restaurant, allowing people to enjoy nature and delicious food up close. Taste ecological delicacies in the rice field and enjoy nature away from the noisy city. The sunny lawn can undertake company team building and research activities. Parents with children can also set up tents and camp here. On the ox island, tourists can experience the fun of an old ox pulling a cart. Workshop Street The workshop area is a commercial street with Jiangnan characteristics. The whole street adopts the pattern of front store and back workshop. Here, you can not only see the production process of traditional Jiangnan handicraft workshops and buy daily necessities with Jiangnan characteristics, but also ask the master to personally teach you to experience the taste of working in the workshop. The entire workshop area is mainly composed of Yongci Workshop which integrates wood-fired kiln art and ceramic production, Pianmu Building which makes wooden handicrafts such as wood carvings, Shazhou Chunxiao where characteristic snacks gather, and a combination of Hualu Winery, Tofu Workshop, and Vermicelli Workshop with characteristics of the Shashang area.Yonglian Water Park (Yonglian Water World) covers an area of 42,000 square meters. It began construction in November 2013 and was completed in June 2014. The park features 13 attractions including a wave pool, tsunami pool, lazy river, giant horn, beast bowl, four-color slide, high-speed slide, swimming pool, and children’s water fortress. The tsunami pool, covering 600 square meters, simulates a realistic tsunami experience with a strong sense of immersion.
The leisure wooden house area consists of sixteen small wooden houses. The exterior is simple, while the interior is luxuriously decorated, providing a tranquil and elegant environment. Facilities such as tea seats, karaoke, chess, and barbecue are available within. Operating hours are from 08:00 to 16:30 from October 1st to April 30th, and from 08:00 to 17:00 from May 1st to September 30th.
Preferential policies include free admission for children under 1.2 meters in height, discounted admission for children between 1.2 and 1.4 meters in height, free admission for elderly aged 70 and above, discounted admission for those aged between 60 and 70 with ID, free admission for disabled individuals with a disability certificate (including disabled military personnel), free admission for retired military committee cadres with a military committee old cadre retirement certificate (excluding retirees), free admission for journalists with a journalist’s certificate (issued after 2009 by the State Press and Publication Administration, excluding interview certificates and special correspondent certificates), free admission for tour guides with a national tour guide IC card, travel agency manager qualification certificate, or team leader or driver A or AI certificate (must be with a travel agency group, presenting a team sheet), free admission for active military personnel with valid documents (original military officer certificate or non-commissioned officer certificate), and discounted admission for full-time college and above students with a student certificate.
Additional notes: For the amusement park at Jiangnan Agricultural Culture Park, children under 1.2 meters in height also need to purchase a ticket for entry.
