Suzhou ShiHu Park is located in the southwest suburbs of Suzhou, seven kilometers away from the ancient city. It is known for its relics of the Wu and Yue dynasties and the pastoral scenery of the Jiangnan water town. The park boasts numerous ancient temples, pagodas, tombs, and the retirement homes of Song Dynasty pastoral poets such as Fan Chengda.
The scenic area mainly consists of ShiHu Resort, Scenic Tour Area, Film and TV Cultural Area, and Ethnic Dining Area. The most famous scenic spot in ShiHu is the ‘ShiHu Moonlit Strings’, originating from the Nine Holes Bridge (Xingchun Bridge) on the lake. The holes are connected to each other, reflected in the water. On the evening of the 18th day of the eighth lunar month, when the bright moon is in the sky, each of the nine circular holes reflects a round moon shadow in the lake water, forming the ‘Nine Moons in a Row’ spectacle, which is incredibly beautiful. Barbecues and boat rides are available within the scenic area. The park is open from 06:30 to 22:00 all year round.Suzhou ShiHu Park
