Suzhou Youth Science and Technology Museum

The Wujiang Youth Science and Technology Museum is located at the intersection of Zhongshan South Road and Sports Road in Wujiang urban area. Covering an area of more than 30,000 square meters and a building area of 23,000 square meters, with a total investment of about 120 million yuan. It is divided into a popular science exhibition and activity area, a cultural and art training area, a large-scale activity and academic conference area, and an office service area. The main feature of the science and technology museum is the combination of two museums. First, the exhibition and education department (science and technology museum) mainly conducts popular science education for teenagers. The total equipment investment in the museum is about 20 million yuan. About 80% of the exhibits are interactive. The proportion of interactive exhibits in national science and technology museums is relatively high. It combines fun, science, and knowledge, vividly reflecting classic scientific principles and technical applications. The activity area is divided into five parts: science and technology activity exhibition hall, observatory, digital dome theater, 4D dynamic theater, children’s paradise. Outside the venue, there is Red Scarf Square and National Defense Education Park. Second, the training department provides good learning conditions for the vast number of children in Wujiang City. At present, it offers eight categories of training programs including fine arts, calligraphy, dance, sports, science and technology, vocal music, and instrumental music, with a total of more than 200 training classes. We adhere to the combination of popularization and improvement and have established a total of seven children’s cultural and art associations including Wujiang’s first children’s folk orchestra, children’s orchestra, children’s choir, children’s Latin dance troupe, children’s dance troupe, children’s painting and calligraphy club, and children’s literature club. We also organize children from these associations to participate in various public welfare activities and competitions at all levels.
