In 1985, the Xuzhou Municipal People’s Government rebuilt the Swallow Tower on Zhichun Island in Yunlong Park. The tower has two floors and is surrounded by upper and lower corridors. It is beautiful, elegant, simple and aesthetically pleasing, and full of national traditional styles. The newly-built Swallow Tower is located on Zhichun Island. The water floats on the oasis and the island towers with the magnificent tower.
It is surrounded by water on all sides. Looking up from the tower, the nearby waters and distant mountains, with flourishing flowers and trees, are full of poetic and picturesque charm, making people feel relaxed and happy. Inside the tower are displayed mahogany furniture and hung are the verses written by Bai Juyi on the Swallow Tower by Chinese calligrapher Zhao Puchu.
