The Taierzhuang Battle Memorial Hall is located in the southwestern suburb of Taierzhuang City, Zaozhuang City, Shandong Province, on the picturesque ancient canal. It faces the railway station during the great battle across the river. The exhibition hall has three exhibition rooms with a construction area of 1400 square meters. Inside the hall, there are more than a thousand pieces of materials and cultural relics from both China and Japan during the Taierzhuang Battle. The calligraphy and painting hall treasures nearly a thousand calligraphy and painting works by participating soldiers and relatives as well as famous calligraphers and politicians. The entire memorial hall integrates an exhibition hall, a calligraphy and painting hall, a film and television hall, and a panoramic painting hall. It is majestic and solemn. The film and television hall mainly plays precious documentaries filmed by foreign war correspondents at that time, interview records of participating soldiers, and the film ‘Bloody Battle in Taierzhuang’. The large panoramic painting hall with the theme of the Anti-Japanese War is an 18-sided cylindrical building with a height of 28 meters and a diameter of 43 meters and a construction area of 3100 square meters. The panoramic painting hall of ‘Bloody Battle in Taierzhuang’ includes five parts: painting, ground modeling, lighting, sound, and commentary. It combines historical truth and artistic truth, vividly reproducing the historical process of the Chinese army meeting the Japanese army in positional battles in Taierzhuang, fighting bloody battles until victory. It selects typical battle scenes such as the fierce battle at the north gate, the battle for the mosque, and the battle for the northwest gate as the key points of expression. The entire picture is 16.5 meters high and 124 meters in circumference. The picture is connected end to end to form a full circle. The huge picture is organically combined with realistic ground modeling, equipped with special lighting and stereo sound. The battle atmosphere is extremely strong, giving people a sense of being on the scene. The thirty-eight steps in front of the hall mean that in 1938, the Taierzhuang Battle between China and Japan that shocked the world took place. The twenty-four pillars support the white ceiling, symbolizing that the Chinese nation stands upright and will always stand among the nations of the world. The name of the memorial hall is inscribed by the famous calligrapher Mr. Qi Gong. In front of the main building stands the Taierzhuang Battle Monument. The entire memorial hall integrates an exhibition hall, a calligraphy and painting hall, a film and television hall, and a panoramic painting hall. It is majestic and solemn.
